Starline, one of the more prominent touring services, dates back to 1935. The home of actress Claudette Colbert in Holmby Hills was a regular stop on these tours. Built in 1935 by architect Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright), the house was styled as a Hollywood Baroque "White Mansion" on a hill. The extensive estate was surrounded by gardens.
